Shin Yamato Damacy Ep. 4

There must be something in the air… Burning rubber?! Luka and DaRC are out at 日光 (Nikko) Circuit interviewing people out for a drift tournament. It’s pretty much 10 minutes of awesome cars. You can watch the second video if you just want to see cars being awesome without the interviews, but I really liked the part where they ask people about what kind of upgrades they’ve done.

Yes, P(ピー)さん is back. After completing all of the original Super Mario Bros. at some odd high speed factor, he has made good on his promise to start doing Super Mario 3 at high speed. From this video, it looks like this will be quite the challenge! He spent a majority of the video on 1-4, a level that automatically scrolls. A lot of the comments are concerned he won’t be able to make it through those hard ass airships.

Super Fast Mario

This video, ganked from Claytonian, is pretty funny. But I remember thinking, “Sounds like a fun one shot. But I see why he stopped at 1-3.”
But did you know, this is a SERIES! Yes, P (ビー) kept it up and just finished the whole game!!!! Took him 23 videos worth of play… heavily edited videos at that. From the time stamps on the videos, it looks like he has wasted the better part of 4 months doing this. For this, I commend you sir!!! Complete list of videos after the jump. The last one features a little retrospective featuring the awesome song, GONG. There is also a 20 minute version of (mostly) just the clears:

So, if you have been following all the Japan blogs, you know that 中川昭一 (Nakagawa Shoichi) was totally drunk/high at the G7 and got himself fired (technically he resigned, but we are talking about Japan here). But, if you haven’t seem the ニコニコ動画 no cut version, you haven’t seen the whole thing. The comments and subtitles are just so good.

Morning Musume in LA

What the hell… Morning Musume have been announced as the guests of honor at Anime Expo. It is like all my adolescent dreams are coming true, just 10 years later.
This video is apparently their newest single. I seriously don’t recognize any of them… Okay, maybe one or two, but they were n00bs when I last paid attention.
Also, isn’t this a little bit non-anime related? I mean, Shokotan made a bit more sense, she is the queen of all otaku. Morning Musume, while probably loved by otaku world round, aren’t exactly directly related to anime nor manga.
BUT this is a good thing. The more Anime Expo becomes more about Japan, the happier I will be!
In any case, look forward to this coming in early July!

Somewhere, deep in the bowels of the Outlands, where all the memes live in wondrous chaotic harmony, the chill Cowboy Bepop fell for the sweet, yet awesome Final Fantasy. I am proud to announce the birth of their love child!
If you watch the nicovideo version, when Shantotto shows up on screen, the spam is fantastic. People are such nerds. It’s great.
Also, did you know Shantotto is voiced by Megumi Hayashibara? Almost as epic as when they cast Patrick Stewart as Professor X.

More Like The Racist Office…
Written by Jeshii on 2009.01.12 – 23:35 -I really can’t believe this SNL skit about the “Japanese Office.” My friend sent it to me and I felt this overwhelming uncomfortable feeling while watching it… then I realized that’s because it is racist. And, then at the end, they say it flat out like that’s supposed to make it better. What do you think? Am I overreacting here?
