The new episode of SYD is some first impressions based on photos.
On a side note, I love DaRC. DaRC, the head of YD operations for the last few episodes, isn’t someone I ever knew in Japan. I feel like I know him pretty well from all the videos, but really, all these people are totally unconnected to me. But, I there is a line of succession that runs between us. They took the YD mantle and ran with it. And each video they turn out makes me glad. I hope the tradition will continue for generation of JETs in Gunma.

NicoNama iPhone App is out!

Not exactly quick on the heels of the NicoDou iPhone app, we now have the ニコ生放送 (Nico Namahousou, “Nico Live Broadcast”) app!
Yes, you can watch NicoNama while on the go. Yes, you can broadcast while on the go (I was able to do it on my old 2G, though it crashed halfway through. Check it out!). But no cruise. You can also just look for current iPhone broadcasts here.
While it is free, you have to have a Japanese iTunes account, but remember, you don’t need a credit card to make one.

Shin Yamato Damacy Ep. 5 – Obama

The best episode yet. BakaDaruku and new member David (Obama???) head out to 高崎 (Takasaki) looking to speak with them about US/Japan relations.
I think I like this episode the best since it really reminds me of the good ol’ YD feel. I mean, talking to チンピラ (chimpira) and 女子高生 (joshi kousei) was all we ever did. However, I don’t think either BakaDaruku nor David were nearly drunk enough.

Kaiguys Shuzo The Return

It isn’t getting nearly as many views as the last one (it’s at something like 1% of the old one), but there is already a MAD someone made:
I love it. Even if our videos got no views, enriching the MAD world makes me happy.

Kaiguys Shuzo Remix

YES! The Shuzo video that R and I made got remixed!!! And it is a Skyhigh MAD!!! I’m very happy with the way this turned out. Thank you anonymous Nico user mistone!
One interesting this is that originally the title had the word 外人 (gaijin) in the title, and it was later changed to 外国人 (gaikokujin). There is a huge debate over whether or not 外人 is a derogatory term or not, but for now, at least the non-controversial version was used.
佐々Ｂ さん also made a nice comparison video. Also, kyoheiokimuraさん made another MAD! See them after the jump.

What kind of Japanese Music do you like?

【海外オタク】ロスのアニメエキスポで邦楽について聞いてみた (Also on YouTube)
I went to Anime Expo on last Friday and made a little video where I asked people (mostly people dressed as けいおん！ ! (K-ON!) or VOCALOID characters…) what their favorite 邦楽 (hougaku) is. The answers may surprise you.
