About

Hi, I’m Jeshii. I am a translator, blogger, videographer, and most of all, dreamer! I used to live in the Gunma region of Japan, but currently reside in Los Angeles with my wife.

Yamatologic is my blog about, what else, Japan. Generally I post videos from ニコニコ動画 (NicoNicoDouga), but I am also known to just serve up silly little tidbits from that archipelago we all love so.

I started this as a way to reconnect myself to the Internets after my absence following the end of Yamato Damacy and my return to the States. I don’t have a goal per se, other than to spread Japan-related fun. I try to avoid just reposting Japan Probe or Pink Tentacle or Tokyo Mango stuff (unless it is really cool or I have something meaningful to contribute).

WARNING! Many of the articles on this site link to ニコニコ動画 videos, which require you to log in to their site. Yes, it is in Japanese. If you can’t read Japanese but still want to watch these videos, I provide a free login service. Head over to the NicoNicoDouga Help page to get your login!

      Jesse,

Cool site! This is John Larson – the guy that bought your red bike, remember? No? That’s pretty cold, man.

I need your help. (And no, I’m not a family member of a rich businessman in Africa who stashed away a few millions before being killed.)

I’m giving a motivational keynote speech to the recontracting ALTs next month and I want to feature you, Rahman and Yamato Damacy. I emailed your revecess address, but it is coming back as a n/g. Please write me back at larsuck (atto) gmail (dotto) com and I will hit you with the details.

      Thanks, and be genki,
      John
